Microsoft Field IT was created in 2007 from over 40 country-specific local units as part of the vision to be a World Class IT Organization that drives efficiency and consistency. In its first 12 months, Field IT transitioned to a regionally integrated entity (Asia, EMEA and the Americas) and in 2009 the organization pivoted to its ultimate form ― an innovative Shared Services Model to leverage expertise across the globe. The systemic change was colossal, demanding that all of Field IT’s 320 people develop new ways of thinking and behaving in order to become a truly Global Unified Team that speak a common “language.”
To catalyze the transformation of Field IT into a true Learning Organization, BECAUZ provided long term Strategic Consulting, Organizational Change Management and Leadership Development. Year One: Becauz partnered with Field IT to drive “Transform Around the Business.” BECAUZ helped support the organizational re-pivot by aligning people and processes to support thoughtful structural and behavioral changes.
Year Two: Continuing the great strides made in year one, the “Global Unified Team” initiative helped people and teams to develop and grow into their new global roles ― to function exceptionally well in team and cross-teams ―and to significantly sharpen organizational focus on highest value business results.
Year Three: The transformation continued with BECAUZ helping to drive the World Class IT Organization by focusing on “Innovation and Business Value.”
